Refilling your windshield wiper washer fluid is a pretty simple maintenance that can pretty much be done anywhere. You don't need to go to or need a mechanic and it only takes a few minutes to do it. Since I drive a Toyota Prius 2012, this takes me only about 5 minutes tops.
First pop open the car hood. You will noticed this reservoir, being at the front of the engine and there will be a a symbol on top of it, giving you an idea that it's the windshield washer fluid, also you'll noticed the color in it. Here is an example video I found on youtube that walks you through the process:
I use the Preston Bug Wash Windshield Washer Fluid which you can pick up at Amazon:

Once you located, uncap it and fill it up to the line limit and there you go. Refilling your windshield washer fluid is one of the easiest maintenance things you can do for your car and it's not really expensive.
